![]() So this is kindof a lengthy process and tbh it SUCKS that im stuck at such a (context wise) trivial spot as to find 3 memory locations that seemingly most people that have even done a drive-by-hack on the game HAVE found. I think in the long run i want to like, create a GUI for myself (easy part) with data about all objects near me, and basically know all, or most all functions that i can call too, be it to move the player, open up dialogues, press dialogue buttons or what have you. So this time, chosing BnS it wasn't really ONLY because the info is so sparce, but because it's a fun game to play while scanning and such. Learn how to proficiently locate, recognise and use memory pointers in MMORPG's, i've tried this so many time before with Aion, ArcheAge, World of Warcraft, so on and so forth, but usually there is already "finished code" to use (for all those games) so somehow, i found, that my learning experience became lacking because i "thought" i understood some parts, and really didn't. (First time attaching files to posts here and misunderstood the GUI a bit, lesson learned) I attached a version of the DLL to this post if someone wants to go ahead and IDA it and see if they can see where i might be going wrong. I believe the issue at hand is the fact that BnS exported their engine code to a DLL Secondly, none of the addresses i find (for example for GObjects) yield in anything even remotely similar to what TheFeckless finds when using ReClass.īeen trying for about 4 hours now to just randomly (yeah, scientific right) use ReClass to set certain memory locations close to the addresses i find, to pointers, and see if any of them lead to a list of GObjects, so far nothing.ĭoes anyone have any experience with BnS (Blade and Soul) and reversing the GObjects, GNames and ProcessEvent ? Would gladly and whole-heartedly receive any guidance available I've gotten as far as to understand, and successfully follow the tutorial of TheFeckless, however something is alot different with BnS than with the game he reverses in the tutorial.įirst off, using the methods of SystemFiles, reveals completely different addresses than the ones by TheFeckless masks. On the lowest one, i find that it has both x, x2 and x3 in close vacinity of eachother, meaning a struct of sorts (i believe?), something like:Īs per Midi12's suggestion, ive been trying to create a SDK for BnS now since last night, So okay, i add each 3 of these to my watch list, and for kicks, i browse the memory regions. So the easiest way (i found) to search for this was to have 2 weapons in inventory, and search for the values (first i, then i2, then i3) and you're left with 3 values, all which seemingly change along with swapping weapons. With a base attack power of x, weapon ap of x2, we get a total ap of x3. It's easily visible when you press "P" ingame, you will see (on a melee char) the attackpower at the top. I've tried both using CE pointerscanner, aswell as following a tutorial about finding the values manually through "what accesses this address" or "what writes to this address". Would apreciate any and all guidance as to how to proceed with this, since obviously the tutorials i've read don't cover this (atleast not in a way i can comprehend). This happens for each and every value i try, and/or find, so i must conclude that i'm doing something painfully obvious as a mistake, the question is, what? So it goes thinner and thinner, untill finally, POOF, from ranging about 100 to 5,000 results to 0, no matches. ![]() So i do what most tutorials tell me to do, i do a pointer scan, close the game, start it up again, find the value (anew), scan for the new memory address with the old scan result. ![]() Thing is, every time i try to find a pointer, be it health, stamina, Attack Power or even something as trivial as the character name, i run into the same wall.įirst i scan for it in the active game session, i find it (well, between 2-20 of "it" to be exact, depending on what im searching for, don't think anything except speed has been a single value as of yet.). So i've been curious about digging deep and finding memory locations for Blade and Soul as of late, using CE 6.5 as my main tool.
